Ito Strategic Writing Office (Location: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Representative: Nobuyuki Ito), which provides support for creating management documents, has launched a new corporate training program, "Management Translation Skills Training for Managers," targeting managers in large and medium-sized enterprises, starting July 1st.

This training is a practical program aimed at enabling managers to translate top management's policies and vision into words that resonate with their frontline employees, leading to understanding, agreement, and action.

Service Introduction Page

Background of Service Development

The era of generative AI has made document creation and translation easy for anyone. However, the "translation of management" – transforming the vision and sense of crisis of top management into the understanding and action of frontline employees – cannot be achieved by AI alone. What is needed is the ability of managers, who understand the frontline, to translate top policies into meaning and concrete actions for their own departments. Our office defines this ability as "management translation skills" and is launching training for managers in large and medium-sized enterprises.

In our previously announced "Linguistic Management' Companion Program Starting from Future Stories," we began supporting the verbalization of management's future concepts and strategies held in their minds, generating empathy both inside and outside the organization.

This training, as the second installment, is a program to ensure that management policies and visions, verbalized by management, are reliably disseminated to the frontline by managers.

In many companies, even when top management communicates policies and visions, there are cases where "what exactly should be done" is not sufficiently conveyed to the frontline, failing to lead to action.

When management's words descend to the frontline in an abstract form, employees may think they understand, but they fail to see the connection to their own work, and the policy ends up not being disseminated.

Overview of New Service

This is where the manager's "management translation skills" are required.

In this training, managers are positioned as "translators of management" connecting top management and the frontline, learning the concepts and practical methods to translate management policies into understanding, agreement, and action at the frontline.

The training, while incorporating sense-making theory that emphasizes consensus and meaning-making within the organization, breaks down top management policies into "background," "sense of crisis," "desired future state," "expectations for the frontline," and "concrete actions."

Then, participants will create a policy dissemination message for their own departments and develop it into a form that can be used in dialogue with their subordinates.

Representative's Message

Management policies do not penetrate to the frontline simply by being announced. For employees to act, they need to understand how the policy relates to their own work and what needs to change.

Managers are not mere conduits who simply relay the words of top management. They are "translators of management" who transform top management's vision into frontline meaning and connect it to employee action.

Precisely because it is the AI era, managers are required to have translation skills that only humans can possess. In this training, you will acquire the practical ability to transform management's words into frontline actions.
