Entries will be accepted from June 29, 2026 (Mon) to September 13, 2026 (Sun). Children across Japan from age 3 through junior high school students can apply via the official websites.

This year marks the 25th edition of the "Docomo Mirai Museum," a milestone for the contest that has received over 2.26 million entries cumulatively※—a rich collection of children's visions of "future lifestyles" created year after year for a quarter of a century.

About "Docomo Mirai Museum"

"Docomo Mirai Museum" is a creative painting contest that invites children to express their free imagination through art, envisioning futures they'd like to see or dreams they'd love to come true. Held annually since 2002, it welcomes participants nationwide from age 3 to junior high school. Under the theme "Our Future Lifestyle," entries are accepted in two categories: Digital Art and Traditional Art. The contest is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of artistic skill or experience, making it ideal even for first-time participants. This year's 25th edition marks a significant milestone, with total entries surpassing 2.26 million※. The contest is also a perfect summer vacation project or a meaningful activity for families to enjoy together. "Docomo Mirai Lab" is a programming contest held under the concept "Even beginners can enjoy!" Launched in 2023, it targets children from age 3 to junior high school across Japan. Complete beginners can easily participate using a smartphone or tablet. The theme is "Future Inventions," and the contest provides a platform for children to bring their imaginative ideas to life through programming, nurturing creativity and expressive skills. This year marks its 4th edition.
