NTT DOCOMO to End mope a U “U Standard Plan,” Revise “Simple Plan” Pricing and Expand Eligible Plans

NTT DOCOMO, INC. (“DOCOMO”) will end provision of the “U Standard Plan” under its mobile ISP service “mope a U” on Monday, December 14, 2026, in light of recent usage trends for email services. For the “Simple Plan,” DOCOMO will revise pricing from Thursday, October 1, 2026, and expand the supported 5G and Xi voice plans, as communication equipment maintenance costs and system operation costs continue to rise. The changes are intended to maintain stable service provision and preserve and improve the quality of customer support. DOCOMO sincerely thanks customers for their long-standing support and apologizes for the inconvenience caused. End of “U Standard Plan” Service 1. Service termination schedule Target service: mope a U “U Standard Plan” Includes: Mail virus check, additional email addresses, and U “B FLET'S / FLET'S Hikari Next” course (Note 1) New application deadline: Wednesday, September 30, 2026 Service end date: Monday, December 14, 2026 2. Alternative services Discontinued service: mope a U “U Standard Plan” Main alternatives: mope a U “Simple Plan” (Notes 2 and 3), sp-mode (Notes 2 and 4), IoT NET (Notes 2 and 4) Discontinued service: U “B FLET'S / FLET'S Hikari Next” course (Note 2) Main alternative: OCN Hikari “FLET'S” (Note 5) 3. Information regarding email use After the service ends, customers will no longer be able to send or receive email using the email addresses currently in use. Customers are requested to change the registered email address for any services where the affected address is registered. After the service ends, access to webmail and viewing of past email data will no longer be available, and the data will be promptly deleted. Customers who wish to keep their data should store it themselves in advance. 4. Alternative email services The DOCOMO Group offers DOCOMO Mail and OCN Mail, which customers may consider using. Please note that email addresses currently used with mope a U cannot continue to be used. DOCOMO Mail: Available free of charge to customers migrating to sp-mode. OCN Mail: Provided through the OCN Value Plan. Price Revision and Eligible Plan Expansion for the “Simple Plan” 1. Schedule for price revision and eligible plan expansion Thursday, October 1, 2026 2. Monthly fee for the Simple Plan Before revision: 200 yen per line, or 220 yen including tax After revision: 300 yen per line, or 330 yen including tax 3. Expanded eligible billing plans The following billing plans will newly support the Simple Plan. 5G: DOCOMO MAX, DOCOMO Poi-katsu MAX, DOCOMO Poi-katsu 20, DOCOMO Biz Data Unlimited, DOCOMO Biz Unlimited Calls, eximo, eximo Poi-katsu, 5G Data Plus, Hajimete Smartphone Plan, U15 Hajimete Smartphone Plan. Xi: Hajimete Smartphone Plan, U15 Hajimete Smartphone Plan, Data Plus 2, Keitai Plan 2, Gigaho Premier, Gigalite 2, Gigaho 2, Gigaho, Gigalite, Data Plus, Keitai Plan, Kake-hodai Plan, Simple Plan, Type Xi Ninen. Wide Star: WSIII Type M, WSIII Type L. DOCOMO will continue to enhance its services for the 5G era while staying close to each customer's lifestyle. Note 1: The U “B FLET'S / FLET'S Hikari Next” course is an add-on option for the U Standard Plan and Simple Plan. Note 2: “mope a,” “sp-mode,” and “IoT NET” are registered trademarks of NTT DOCOMO, INC. Note 3: Customers using 5G billing plans and certain Xi billing plans who wish to change to the Simple Plan will be able to do so from October 1, 2026. For details, see the section on the Simple Plan price revision and eligible plan expansion. Note 4: sp-mode and IoT NET assign private IP addresses to user devices. Customers who require a global IP address, dynamic, as with mope a U U Standard Plan, should use mope a U Simple Plan. Note 5: After the U “B FLET'S / FLET'S Hikari Next” course ends, it may take time for the alternative ISP service to become available, so DOCOMO recommends applying early before the service end date. For OCN Hikari “FLET'S,” the monthly basic fee is free for the month that includes the service start date.
