Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) and DNP Photo Imaging Japan, Inc. (PIJ) will sequentially provide a new model of the "DNP Self-Service Print System PrintRush" (*1), which allows users to easily print photos taken with smartphones and digital cameras on the spot, starting in Autumn 2026.
The new "PrintRush" supports not only traditional photo prints but also mini-sized prints such as "Photo Banners," which are business card size and can be stored in smartphone cases by tearing along perforations, and "Photo Chips," which become square when torn. Furthermore, it evolves into a cashless payment-only machine, enabling image transmission to "PrintRush" without using a dedicated smartphone app, thus offering new photo experiences that cater to the diversifying needs of "oshi-katsu" (fan activities) and events.
This new model will be exhibited for the first time at the DNP booth (booth number: 2) (*2) at the "16th Photographers & Photo Business Fair PHOTONEXT 2026," to be held at Pacifico Yokohama Hall B on June 16 (Tuesday) and 17 (Wednesday), 2026.

Background of New Model Development
While smartphone photography has become commonplace, there is a growing need not only for digital data but also for tangible, "take-home" real photos, often combined with items like keychains and card cases.
DNP is expanding its focus areas in photo imaging-related businesses, centering on its world-leading dye-sublimation thermal transfer recording materials for photo printing. With this new model of "PrintRush," DNP and PIJ aim to further expand their business by meeting diverse "oshi-katsu" needs.
Features of the New "PrintRush"
○ Supports Diverse Photo Print Sizes, Catering to "Oshi-Katsu" Needs
By equipping the new model with perforated print paper or perforated receipt paper, DNP has realized the output of prints in various sizes and shapes. In addition to traditional L and 2L sizes, it supports mini-sized prints like "Photo Banners" and "Photo Chips." These can be stored in smartphone cases or processed into keychains, fulfilling the "oshi-katsu" desire to carry "oshi" (favorite personality/character) photos daily.

○ Reduces Store Operational Load with Cashless Payment Exclusivity
The new model switches payment methods from cash to cashless payments. It supports various payment methods, enhancing convenience for consumers. Moreover, it reduces the operational burden on stores managing the machines, as cash handling and change dispensing are no longer necessary.
○ Immediate Use Possible Without Dedicated Smartphone App
While the previous model required uploading photo data via a dedicated smartphone app, the new model allows uploads from a website. Eliminating the need for app installation enhances user convenience.
Additionally, the remote maintenance function allows for remote checking of the terminal's status, restarting, and changing settings. With inbound demand in mind, the operation screen supports multiple languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
Future Development
The DNP Group accurately captures the evolving ways people enjoy photos and their changing needs, aiming to enhance the value of experiences (koto) as well as physical prints (mono).
