Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, President: Yoshitoshi Kitajima, hereinafter: DNP) has been selected for the “World Index” of the “Dow Jones Best-In-Class” (DJ BIC), a globally authoritative ESG investment indicator, for the second consecutive year.
The DJ BIC evaluates sustainability from three aspects—economic, environmental, and social—based on the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by the US-based index provider S&P Global for over 3,500 leading companies worldwide. It selects relatively superior companies in each industry using a “best-in-class” approach that considers industry characteristics.
This time, 317 companies (including 35 Japanese companies) from 25 industries were selected for the DJ BIC “World Index.” DNP was highly evaluated in environmental fields, including “Climate Strategy,” “Energy,” and “Waste & Pollution,” due to its long-standing environmental initiatives. It also received high marks for “Corporate Ethics” and “Supply Chain Management.”
Furthermore, DNP was selected as a yearbook company in “The Sustainability Yearbook 2026,” which identifies and lists companies with excellent sustainability performance in each industry based on the CSA. (848 companies were listed out of over 9,200 companies).
■ DNP’s Initiatives for the Sustainable Growth of Companies and Society
DNP fulfills its corporate social responsibility (CSR) by focusing on “creation of value,” “sincere action” in ensuring fair and equitable value creation processes, and “high transparency” in fulfilling its accountability to society. DNP strives to always earn the trust of all stakeholders.
To create sustainable and long-term value, DNP prioritizes themes important to the international community, strengthens its business portfolio, and globally expands high-value products and services. Simultaneously, DNP positions the strengthening of human capital and addressing environmental issues as critical management priorities, aiming to enhance human creativity through investment in people and accelerating initiatives based on the “DNP Group Environmental Vision 2050.”
DNP regards its selection for the DJ BIC World as an evaluation of these initiatives from a global perspective. Going forward, DNP will further advance these initiatives under its next medium-term management plan, strengthening value creation through business activities to achieve both value creation that contributes to the sustainable development of the environment, society, and economy, and enhancement of corporate value.
