Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will open "Ginza Nanachome Bookstore," based on the concept of "rare, interesting, and useful books," at its art-related facility "Maison des Musées du Monde (MMM)"*1 in Ginza, Tokyo, from Friday, April 3, 2026, to Saturday, July 4, 2026.

"Ginza Nanachome Bookstore" is a temporary bookstore that plays in the world of design. This year, its third iteration, will feature a special shelf of "important books" selected by 32 designers across generations, a "weekly changing bookshelf" where books and shopkeepers change every week, and a "book art showcase," exhibiting and selling "rare, interesting, and useful books." Talk events will also be held by participants of the "Designer's Bookshelf" and exhibiting artists of the "Book Art Showcase."

【Designer's Bookshelf】

A special shelf that offers a glimpse into the "designer's bookshelf," which is usually quietly lined up at home or work and rarely seen. "Important books" selected by each designer, three books each, will be sold with a handwritten bookmark expressing their thoughts. This year, 32 designers from various generations and fields will participate.

【Book Art Showcase】

Anouk Beckers Booklook issue, etc. Anouk Beckers, an Amsterdam-based artist, designer, and researcher, will exhibit and sell her unique publishing projects, including "Booklook issue," which allows reading, wearing, and knitting simultaneously, for the first time in Japan. The exhibition will be changed three times monthly during the period.

Ryuta Iida Filtered Silence -The Pedestal of Thought- Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1981. A sculptor who uses books and text as materials. In 2007, he formed the artist duo "Nerhol" with graphic designer Yoshihisa Tanaka. At Ginza Nanachome Bookstore, he will specially exhibit and sell his new work "Filtered Silence -The Pedestal of Thought-" (2024), a sculpture on the theme of bookshelves, representing "the air drifting in the gaps between books."
