DKS Pharmaceutical (Headquarters: Minami-ku, Kyoto City; President and CEO: Naoki Yamaji) will present research findings at the 26th Japan Anti-Aging Medical Society Annual Meeting, held from June 26 (Fri) to 28 (Sun), 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama North. The study evaluates the potential of Cordyceps militaris derived from silkworm pupae (hereinafter referred to as 'silkworm Cordyceps') in alleviating symptoms of male menopause.

While male menopause symptoms are recognized as a factor in reduced quality of life (QOL), pharmacological treatments often come with side effects and usage limitations, increasing the importance of non-pharmacological approaches.

This study conducted a randomized, double-blind, comparative trial over 12 weeks involving men aged 40 and above, confirming improvements in AMS scores (Aging Males' Symptoms questionnaire).

The results suggest that silkworm Cordyceps intake may contribute to alleviating symptoms of male menopause. Detailed findings will be presented at the conference.
