Since its launch in 2023, this research group has produced many managers. It has now been redefined with the concept of "providing a platform for continuous learning and practice." In addition to acquiring management theories, it newly incorporates "Advanced Hotel Inspection Tours (3 times a year)" visiting innovative hotels nationwide, thereby strengthening its function as a community where like-minded managers can continually develop themselves.
■ "Hotel Management Research Group" 4 Features
In conjunction with this renewal, we have systematized "four elements" that enable managers to constantly access the latest knowledge and update their company's management:
1. Lecturer Strength
We invite lecturers who are rarely heard from, delivering talks from various perspectives both inside and outside the industry. The speakers are divided into three types:
* Those who are themselves excellent hotel managers
* Experts deeply familiar with the hotel and tourism industries
* Individuals who can speak to the essence of management and the role of a manager, regardless of their involvement in the hotel business.
2. System
Most sessions will be held in conference rooms in Tokyo, but we have also designed it for online participation (via Zoom) for researchers who cannot attend in person.
* Up to 2 employees from the researcher's company can attend the in-person sessions. Please bring your right-hand employees who you would like to brainstorm management challenges with.
3. Place for Exploration
We hold "Advanced Hotel Inspection Tours" three times a year (tour participation incurs separate actual costs). You will stay at noteworthy hotels with excellent management, listen to the managers' talks, and experience their accommodations. You can learn interactive management insights and know-how that are not apparent from simply staying as a regular guest. Interaction through "trips" among research group members also holds significant value.
* For FY2026, we are planning a "Beppu Onsen 'Shigiku' Growth Process Inspection Tour" in June, supported by Representative Director Tomoyuki Sano of T-BOX, who achieved V-shaped growth, and a "Cambodia Inspection Tour" in September featuring Japanese hotel managers.
4. Gathering Place
This research group brings together a diverse and appealing group of managers from across the country, ranging from major railway-affiliated hotel companies to independent ryokans. Through events such as luncheons at noteworthy hotel restaurants, free discussion sessions (Rono-ji Kai), and post-study session social gatherings, we provide a platform for management consultations. We foster information exchange and build horizontal connections with peers facing similar challenges.
