Saxophonist Saori Yano and pianist Josei (SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS) have formed a new unit called "Besties our sounds." Ahead of the June 24 release of their first album, 'rose garden,' the first pre-release track, the title song "rose garden (Single Ver.)," began streaming today, May 13 (Wednesday). Additionally, a teaser video featuring recording scenes and an interview video where Saori Yano and Josei discuss the behind-the-scenes of the recording will be released at 12:00 PM on the same day, May 13 (Wednesday).

This album includes nine tracks in total, featuring original songs such as the first collaboration between Saori Yano and Josei, the title track "rose garden," as well as jazz standards like the ballad "I Fall in Love Too Easily," where Josei's beautiful piano touch can be fully appreciated.

Particularly noteworthy is the recording method. For the recording, a 1901 vintage Steinway Model.C, praised as a masterpiece from Steinway's golden age, which Josei was captivated by, was specially brought in, and the recording was carried out in a concert hall. This piano is a Hamburg-made Steinway from an era when parts were sourced from New York, combining characteristics of both. It features a light soundboard, quick response when striking the strings, and a smoky yet colorful tone ideal for jazz performance. By deliberately selecting a semi-concert size, the reverberation that rises in harmony with the band's sound was fully captured. The result is a unique work that fuses the depth of tone, which cannot be heard on current pianos, with a rich band sound.
