Handling Capacity of Grid-Scale Batteries Exceeds 100MW

Digital Grid Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President CEO: Yusuke Toyoda; hereinafter 'the Company') is pleased to announce that its handling capacity for grid-scale batteries exceeded a total of 100MW in April 2026.

The Company provides an aggregation service that coordinates and operates multiple grid-scale batteries in collaboration with operators who own them. Amid the rapid installation of grid-scale batteries driven by the growing demand for a decarbonized society, this milestone was achieved approximately one year and four months after the start of this service.

In addition to the aggregation service (consignment operation), the Company will invest 10 billion yen over the three years leading up to July 2028 in its own grid-scale batteries, making it one of the core pillars of the Group's business.

Digital Grid's Grid-Scale Battery Business: 1) Operation consignment from operators owning grid-scale batteries (a service to operate and control batteries owned by other companies). 2) Operation of grid-scale batteries owned and invested in by Digital Grid Asset Management. Features: Compatible with batteries from multiple manufacturers, boasting one of the industry's most extensive operational track records.

About Grid-Scale Batteries: As the introduction of renewable energy progresses, storage batteries that can discharge during high power consumption periods and charge during low demand periods are attracting attention. While the Company's mainstay is the platform business for corporate power transactions (DGP), it has included investment plans in its medium-term management plan to prepare for further expansion of the renewable energy market and battery demand in the future.
