Digital Hollywood Co., Ltd. (Headquarters/Main Campus: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masanori Fujii), which operates schools, universities, and graduate schools for training IT-related and digital content human resources, will implement the '2026 Iwate Women's Digital Human Resource Development Project' commissioned by Iwate Prefecture. This project will offer digital skills acquisition courses for women in Iwate Prefecture aiming for employment in companies within the prefecture, starting on August 10, 2026.
The project will offer three courses: 1 Graphic Freelance Course, 2 Web Manager/Public Relations Course, and 3 IT Skills Employment and Job Change Course, where participants will acquire various digital skills tailored to each course. Additionally, an online community will be established for participants to connect, and in-person classes will be held to hone communication skills.
Through these programs, participants will gain foundational knowledge and digital skills to thrive in Iwate Prefecture, aiming for employment that aligns with their aspirations, such as employment or job changes in companies within the prefecture, side businesses, or freelance work.
Prior to the commencement of the courses, "Online Information Sessions" will be held on July 7 (Tue) from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM and July 18 (Sat) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. An "Online Trial Lesson" will be conducted on July 11 (Sat) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Background and Objectives of Implementation
In addition to life events such as childbirth, childcare, and nursing care, the diversification of work styles and changes in social conditions are leading to an increase in women facing challenges in employment, job changes, and career development. Furthermore, it is often difficult to find work styles and jobs that match one's preferences, leading to challenges in career continuity.
Iwate Prefecture is working to promote the active participation of women and support diverse work styles to become a prefecture "chosen by young people and women." In recent years, there has been growing interest in realizing one's own work style through the acquisition of digital skills, including remote work, side businesses, freelance work, and employment/job changes in companies within the prefecture.
This project aims to expand the possibilities for each participant by fostering individuals who can realize their own work styles and careers utilizing digital technology. It also seeks to address the labor shortage in prefectural companies, promote regional revitalization, and create an environment where people can work with peace of mind in Iwate.
