Digital Hollywood University Graduate School (Location: Ochanomizu, Tokyo; President: Tomoyuki Sugiyama), Japan's first professional graduate school established by a corporation, which aims to produce leaders who create new industries and cultures by leveraging digital communication based on the fusion of SEAD (Science/Engineering/Art/Design), live-streamed its 2025 academic year research presentation, 'VERBALS. DHGS the DAY,' on YouTube Live on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
The live stream was conducted at the state-of-the-art live-action compositing studio, 'D-Sta (Digital Hollywood Virtual Studio),' which is set to open in April 2026. As a pre-opening trial, the event utilized a large LED screen for virtual production as a background monitor for the final project presentations. In anticipation of full-scale virtual production operations starting in April, this event also served as a verification of camera angles and compositions that remain effective even when captured as still images from the video stream.
The event was viewed in real-time by many people both inside and outside the university. We have now released a digest video featuring highlights of the passionate presentations, as well as exclusive interviews with the MVP winners. Additionally, an archive video of the entire event is available for viewing. We invite you to experience the energy of our students as they strive to create new industries and cultures.
