Asahi Seisakusho Forms Capital and Business Alliance with DFC Co., Ltd., a Flow Synthesis Equipment Manufacturer

Asahi Seisakusho Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Yasuyuki Ikeda, hereinafter "Asahi Seisakusho") is pleased to announce that it has formed a capital and business alliance with DFC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Kazuki Matsumoto, hereinafter "DFC"), a company engaged in the development and manufacturing of flow synthesis equipment, and has acquired a portion of DFC's shares.

Through this alliance, Asahi Seisakusho's domestic network will be integrated with DFC's flow synthesis technology to provide end-to-end solutions in flow synthesis, from research and development to commercial production. Moving forward, we will further strengthen our product sales and customer support system in Japan, and by responding quickly and flexibly to diversifying customer needs, we will contribute to the development of the domestic flow synthesis market.

【Background of the Alliance】

In recent years, there has been a growing global interest in flow synthesis as a technology that enhances the safety, efficiency, and reproducibility of reaction processes in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical fields. In particular, the establishment of a consistent technological foundation from the research and development stage to process development and commercial production is considered important.

DFC possesses unique reaction equipment and technology in the field of flow synthesis, and has provided solutions to research institutions and corporate R&D departments through products such as OptimFlow, an automated synthesis equipment for drug discovery research, and AltaFlow, an automated synthesis equipment for process examination.

On the other hand, Asahi Seisakusho, as a leading company in scientific glass instruments, develops manufacturing and sales of chemical process equipment, including glass equipment.
