The reference value was measured by a third-party testing body by irradiating the fabric from above with an artificial solar lamp for 30 minutes and comparing the temperature of a heat-ray receiver with and without the fabric. The poncho is easy to use by simply throwing it on. Fastening the button at the chest helps prevent it from slipping down while keeping both hands free.
