Delta Air Lines will introduce the next generation "Delta One Suite" on its Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in early 2027. On this aircraft, the ratio of premium seats (Delta One Suite, Delta Premium Select, and Delta Comfort+) will reach 50%.

Furthermore, Delta will retrofit the Delta One cabins on its existing Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft into enclosed suites with doors, and refresh all cabins, significantly improving the in-flight experience.

The design of these new seats was finalized after a two-year design phase, based on customer feedback collected over the past decade. The investment amounts to over $1 billion, making it the largest in Delta Air Lines' history.

The upgrades to the A350-1000 and A330-200/300 follow the new cabin designs that began rolling out on A350-900 and B757 aircraft in 2025. This design has received extremely high praise from customers, resulting in a 25-point increase in customer satisfaction scores. Over the next five years, it will be introduced to more than 800 new and existing aircraft.

Since introducing the first all-suite business class with privacy doors in the U.S. in 2017, Delta Air Lines has led the enhancement of the customer experience. Currently, Delta offers the most suite-style seats among U.S. airlines. By 2030, 90% of Delta One cabins are expected to feature individual suites with doors.

Delta One: A Design that Feels Like the Only One

The next-generation "Delta One Suite" was developed in collaboration with Thompson Aero Seating, based on months of research and feedback from SkyMiles members and Delta employees. The seat is full of meticulous details, including a full-flat bed that is over 3 inches longer than the previous version (exceeding 6.5 feet in length), additional cushioning on top of memory foam seats, shoe storage space, a tray reachable even when the bed is fully flat, and a hook for glasses.

For customers who want to enjoy movies and dramas, the A350-1000 Delta One Suite is equipped with a 24-inch high-quality screen, the largest on any Delta aircraft. Customers can enjoy a wide variety of content such as movies, games, sports, and drama series in bright, clear, high-definition video.

Customers can also use their own headphones via Bluetooth connection. The console features a built-in wireless charging space, allowing multiple devices to be charged simultaneously.

Additionally, a refreshment station will be set up near the entrance of Delta One, allowing customers to freely grab snacks and beverages whenever they like.

The next-generation "Delta One Suite" on the A350-1000 uses a reverse herringbone layout, with window seats facing the windows to enhance the sense of openness and privacy. The two center seats feature popular sliding dividers, which can be opened if traveling with a companion or completely closed for individual privacy.

Many of the design elements from the A350-1000 will also be adopted in the newly introduced "Delta One Suite" on the A330-200/300, providing a consistent experience regardless of the aircraft type.

Furthermore, accessibility features have been enhanced based on advice from Delta's employee group, the "Disability & Accessible Travel Advisory Board." Seat control buttons can now be adjusted by touch (tactilely), and wider accessible lavatories will be installed on each aircraft.

A Premium Experience in Every Cabin for Every Customer

In "Delta Comfort+" and "Delta Main Cabin," newly designed seats offer 1 inch more legroom and feature a small shelf on the back of the seat in front to hold mobile phones and other items.

All seats are equipped with memory foam cushions, USB-Type C, and AC power outlets.

Every seat features a large screen with 4K QLED resolution and Bluetooth capability. The new in-flight entertainment system, powered by Thales' next-generation technology announced at CES 2025, allows for browsing a richer and more diverse range of content.

Cabin lighting is optimized for different situations, transitioning to warm lighting during meals, dimming for relaxation during sleep time, and providing a gentle brightness before arrival.

This interior cabin refresh embodies Delta Air Lines' ongoing commitment to listening to the voices of customers and employees and continuing to invest in what is valuable to them.
