■ NANGA

NANGA is a sleeping bag manufacturer born in a down town, started in 1941 by its predecessor "Akira Yokota" from the production area of Omi silk cotton futons. The company name "NANGA" is derived from "Nanga Parbat" in the Himalayas. Nanga Parbat, with an elevation of 8126m, is the 9th highest mountain in the world, also feared as the "Man-eating Mountain." It refers to a difficult-to-climb mountain that has claimed many victims, and its name reflects the founder Akira Yokota's belief that "Because it's difficult, let's do it; let's climb where everyone else won't."
NANGA's dedication is to down. With the know-how of selecting, washing, and managing down cultivated over many years, they continue to create warmer down products.
