DataHax Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoheita Onishi) has launched an introductory campaign offering the system usage fee for its AI camera-based parking system, "DENNOU PARK," free of charge for up to one year. This campaign aims to support the promotion of digital transformation (DX) in the parking industry and targets parking lots switching from cash payment machines to cashless systems.

*Based on the 2020 edition of the "Fact-finding Analysis Survey on the Coin-operated (Hourly) Automobile Parking Market" by the Japan Parking Business Association.

## Background of Implementation

**1. Sense of Crisis Over the Shrinking Labor Force**
In recent years, labor shortages have become severe in Japan, particularly in civil engineering, construction, and service industries. In the parking industry as well, machine-based parking lot operations rely heavily on manual labor for many processes, including equipment installation, maintenance, dispatches, and cash collection. Under these circumstances, the impact of labor shortages will likely extend to the installation, maintenance, and operational structure of parking equipment, potentially making parking lot management itself difficult in the future.

**2. Realizing Sustainable Parking Operations Through "Cashless" Transformation**
Cash payment machines generate various management tasks, such as money collection, change replenishment, failure response, dispatch standby, maintenance, closing (accounting) operations, and anti-theft measures. This operational burden can become a major strain amidst anticipated future labor shortages.

*Comparison between payment machine operation and cashless operation.

**3. The Gap Between a Cashless Society and the Current State of Parking Lots**
An increasing number of users do not carry cash in many daily situations. However, according to a survey conducted by our company, the most used payment method at coin parking lots is "cash" (74.2%). On the other hand, over 80% of coin parking users support cashless payments, revealing a clear inconvenience on the user side.

## Campaign Overview

By migrating from cash machine-based parking lots to "DENNOU PARK" (cashless), the following system usage fee discounts will be applied depending on the number of parking spaces:

* 1-5 spaces: 12 months free
* 5-10 spaces: 10 months free
* 11-15 spaces: 8 months free
* 16-20 spaces: 6 months free
* 21+ spaces: 3 months free

**Conditions:**
1. Switching from a cash machine-based parking lot.
2. Migration to the AI camera-based parking system "DENNOU PARK" (cashless).
*Limited to operators who introduce the "DENNOU PARK" system. We do not sell AI cameras and payment machines separately.
*Some parking lots may not be eligible.
*Cannot be combined with other campaigns.

**Campaign Period:**
* Application start date: May 25, 2026
* Deployment start period: Early August 2026 onwards
* Application deadline: July 31, 2026

## About DENNOU PARK

DENNOU PARK is a new coin parking system utilizing proprietary AI technology. An AI camera and cloud server recognize parked cars and manage entry/exit times and usage fees. It operates solely with an AI camera and server, eliminating the need for many pieces of equipment traditionally required for parking operations, such as flap boards, loop coil sensors, gates, ticket machines, and payment machines. Users can pay parking fees cashlessly from their smartphones using credit cards, PayPay, and other methods.

## Message from the CEO

In many industries such as nursing care, logistics, and retail, DX and labor-saving efforts are advancing against the backdrop of labor shortages. On the other hand, the reality is that DX in the parking industry has not progressed sufficiently. If this continues, it may become difficult for some parking lots to maintain operations.

Therefore, DataHax has decided to undertake this initiative to "support sustainable parking operations by promoting cashless transitions nationwide."

Of course, we understand that cashless is not always the best solution in every case, as cash payments may be indispensable in certain regions. We hope to find the optimal solution while actively communicating with operating companies. Please feel free to contact us!

CEO Yoheita Onishi also goes out to the site to handle installations. The CEO is seen protecting his PC from the heat.
