We endorse April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is a dream of Daiwa Corporation.

Daiwa Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazumitsu Sone), a logistics service provider, is undertaking initiatives through its "Waku Waku Project," directly under the President, with the aim of improving workplace comfort and attractiveness in warehouse operations by young employees.

## What is the "Waku Waku Project," led by young employees?
The Waku Waku Project (hereinafter: Waku Waku PJ) is one of our unique new graduate recruitment initiatives that has been ongoing since 2014. It is an internal, cross-organizational recruitment project directly under the President, carried out by young employees in their first four years, who plan and operate company information sessions and warehouse tours from a young person's perspective.

Currently, the 12th generation members, consisting of a "Company Information Session Team," a "Warehouse Tour Team," and a "Creative Team," are active. Their serious goal is to change the "3K" (Kitsui - demanding, Kitanai - dirty, Kiken - dangerous) image of the logistics industry and build the status of "professionals" who are admired as supporters of society.

## Current Initiatives: "Vision Map" embodying the aspirations of young employees
The Creative Team worked on planning and producing newspaper-style materials and novelties to distribute to students at company information sessions to visualize the "excitement of logistics" that words alone cannot convey. The greatest achievement among these is the creation of a "Vision Map," which expresses the future that they and the organization aim for in a single diagram, with the cooperation of an illustrator.

### [Thoughts and guidelines embedded in the Vision Map]
This map contains the aspirations of the Waku Waku PJ members for a future they genuinely wish to realize.
- Create a "comfortable company" themselves: We value not only the physical environment but also "mental fulfillment" that makes us excited to come to work every day.
- Spread the "fun of logistics": We will deliver the energy that moves society and the coolness behind it in a visible form.
- Towards a workplace filled with "love and respect": Each individual will play a leading role, recognizing and empowering each other to become the best team.

This is not merely a blueprint for the future. It is an unwavering declaration of determination for young employees to take it upon themselves to redefine the image of logistics and create a "new normal" where they can work with pride.
