First-ever "HELLO! Junkan Ennichi"

In conjunction with "Enjoy Composting Day" on Sunday, May 10th, the "HELLO! Junkan Ennichi" event, where visitors can enjoyably experience resource circulation, will be held for the first time on the rooftop of Matsuzakaya Ueno Store.

This event was planned by three parties—Taito Ward, Local Food Cycling Co., Ltd., and Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store—who concluded an "Agreement for Transition to a Circular Lifestyle" in June 2023. The aim is to provide a place to convey the joy of circular living and the richness beyond it to all generations. The event embodies the desire to re-evaluate food waste not as "garbage" but as a "resource," and to make circular living feel more accessible. On the day, experiential content will be offered to "learn, touch, and try" composting and resource circulation through kamishibai (picture-story shows), games, and tours of the rooftop garden. It promises a day for children and adults alike to deepen their connection with circulation.

The maximum amount of food waste that can be put into an LFC compost bin in one day is 450g. Try to get exactly 450g on the scale!

### ◆ Sales of vegetables grown with food waste compost and compost sets: "LFC Compost Set & Circular Vegetable Marche"
Delicious circular vegetables grown with food waste compost collected every third Monday at the Matsuzakaya Ueno Store Park Place 24 Eaves Event Space, as well as additive-free processed foods like jams and sauces, and LFC compost sets that can be started immediately, will be sold.
