Hakone Glass Forest Museum Celebrates its 30th Anniversary Golden Week. Featuring the first-ever demonstration sale of "Byzantine Mosaic Accessories" by an artisan from Italy, and a family-friendly "Art Appreciation Guide" for a limited time!

The Hakone Glass Forest Museum, operated by Hakone Glass Forest Resort Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Yukio Taniguchi), an affiliated company of our group, will hold a number of special events to stimulate your senses during this year's Golden Week, in commemoration of its 30th anniversary in August 2026.

The highlight is the production demonstration and sale of Byzantine mosaic accessories by Claudia Sarri, the fourth-generation successor of the prestigious 'Filippini & Paoletti' workshop in Florence, Italy. In this event, which marks her first overseas demonstration, you can experience her meticulous craftsmanship up close.

Additionally, ahead of Golden Week, the collection exhibition 'Cabinet of Curiosities Shown in Venetian Glass' will open on Saturday, April 18. It unravels the worldview of the 'Cabinet of Curiosities' that enthralled royalty and nobility in the late 15th century, presenting it as the roots of modern museums.

Golden Week Highlight Topics ■ Production Demonstration by Young Italian Artisan Claudia Sarri This is the first installment of the 'Legacy of Flame and Color Woven by Artisans,' which invites craftsmen from famous workshops across Italy. Through the hands of Ms. Sarri, who possesses both precision and perseverance, you can witness the moment when colorful glass is transformed into beautiful accessories.
