Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Celebrates 20th Anniversary, Holds 2026 Entrance Ceremony

Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) welcomed new employees at its 2026 entrance ceremony held at its Nihonbashi Head Office on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

At the entrance ceremony, President and Representative Director Takahiro Uchida began by expressing his joy that Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare reached its 20th anniversary this April. He then stated, "With the growing interest in self-care, the role our company must play in society is becoming increasingly significant," demonstrating a proactive stance in addressing this responsibility while looking ahead to industry changes.

He also emphasized, "While our business performance has been steady, we must not forget that this is achieved by the number of people who choose our products and the感動 (Kando - deep satisfaction/emotion) they experience when using them." Furthermore, he sent a message to the new employees, saying, "Challenge is not about doing something flashy. It's about taking a step forward with determination," and offered his utmost encouragement for them to "enjoy learning and growing through their work, and enrich their lives."

With the President's words in mind, each new employee presented their resolution, outlining "what kind of presence they want to be in 20 years" and "what they will tackle in the current fiscal year as their first step," marking the company's 20th anniversary.

Regarding their desired future selves in 20 years, they expressed a strong will to pioneer the future, with statements such as "I want to deliver new value to the world by combining consumer needs with my own ideas" and "I want to expand the possibilities of self-care through the power of brands and build a society where everyone can live healthily and authentically." Various "ideal self-images" were also articulated, such as "a presence that doesn't overlook small changes or discomfort, grasps the root of problems, and connects them to improvements," and "a presence that people want to work with and are glad to have worked with."

For their first year's endeavors, positive attitudes leveraging their respective strengths were evident, with statements like "I want to draw out the team's strength by paying attention to those around me, not just my own results," "I want to accelerate the speed from input to output, improve through practice, and grow in short cycles," and "I want to actively challenge opportunities to collaborate with people from different fields to broaden my perspective."
