We endorse April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for announcing dreams. This press release represents the dream of "Daiichi Holdings Group."
Daiichi Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture; Headquarters: Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Naoto Nishii; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") aims to be a 100-year company that fosters rich lives by staying close to the daily lives of local communities and engaging in diverse businesses such as amusement facilities, business hotels, culture schools, and childcare/nursing care facilities. We develop businesses required by changing times, together with the community.
Taking this April Dream as an opportunity, we will widely publicize our dream and communicate and propose initiatives that support the lives of local residents.
(Daiichi Holdings Co., Ltd. is a holding company that owns Daiichi Corporation Co., Ltd. as its core company.)
## 1. The impetus for announcing our dream
### "We want to create places to work in the community" - A small wish from 62 years ago is our origin.
Our journey began with this simple desire held by our founder. Our business started in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, and has since expanded to Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa, centered around Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. Even as times change and society transforms, this "DNA of protecting employment and nurturing the community" remains constant.
Currently, with Daiichi Corporation Co., Ltd. at its core, we have pursued diversification into seemingly disparate fields, from pachinko and prize games to childcare, nursing care, IT, and overseas expansion. However, the underlying principle has always been one: "A determination to not fear change and to create places needed for local life with our own hands."
## 2. Why "10 Presidents"?
### 10 years walked with 1,317 colleagues. Next, an era where "individuals" shine and create businesses.
Over the past 10 years, our company has changed significantly.
The number of employees has increased approximately threefold, from 419 to 1,317.
Furthermore, the 5 businesses we had 10 years ago have expanded into new areas such as childcare, nursing care, and IT, and now number 8 businesses. This expansion continues not only outside Saitama Prefecture but also overseas.
What we realized over these 10 years is that the growth of a company is not supported by "systems," but always by "the passion of each individual who thinks and acts independently."
Our dream is not merely to expand the size of the company.
By 2035, it is "to create 10 businesses and 10 presidents."
This means that each employee will not remain merely "an employee," but will raise their own flag. We believe that leaders (presidents) who solve local issues are those who constantly challenge themselves.
We have always fostered a culture that celebrates employees who take on challenges.
For example__
- Individuals who challenge unprecedented plans with experience and data as their weapons.
- Individuals who proactively pursue qualifications as an investment in the future.
These individual actions are steadily strengthening the foundation of our organization.
Individual growth leads to business growth, eventually creating new opportunities and value.
This cycle is the essence of human capital management.
As a result, we believe this has led to the creation of new businesses and an increase in employees, generating employment in the community.
## 3. The future when our dream comes true
### Towards a 100-year company where we can believe "we can change the future with our own hands."
- By 2035, new colleagues and existing colleagues will unite, and 10 businesses and 10 presidents will be born.
- Everything starts with proactive action.
- As a company that continues to support local lives, we will continue to take on challenges.
When our dream comes true, there will be 10 businesses shining with different individualities, and 10 leaders supporting the community in their respective fields. Not waiting for roles, but creating opportunities and taking on challenges themselves. We will create a culture where such "proactive" individuals are fairly evaluated and rewarded.
Both new colleagues and existing colleagues. To be an entity that people say, "It's good to have this company in this town" even 100 years from now. Today, with this dream as our banner, we take a new step forward.
