D2C in Charge of Content Development for "Greater Shinagawa Area Kicks Off! Nostalgic Yamanote Line & Tokyo Monorail XR"

　D2C Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yuki Oka; hereinafter "D2C") supported the content development for "Greater Shinagawa Area Kicks Off! Nostalgic Yamanote Line & Tokyo Monorail XR," an event currently being held at OIMACHI TRACKS and WATERS takeshiba, which opened on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as part of JR East Group's "Greater Shinagawa" co-creation town development project.

　Enjoy powerful AR vehicles realistically reproduced in 3DCG by simply holding up your smartphone, as the "Nade 6110 Series (former Yamanote Line train)" and "Tokyo Monorail 100 Series," symbolizing the history of the town and railway culture, are recreated in XR.

　IMG SRC STUDIO, an R&D unit within D2C, was responsible for the production and implementation of the vehicle models for the exhibition XR content "Nade 6110 Series (former Yamanote Line train)" at OIMACHI TRACKS CROSS PLAZA and "Tokyo Monorail 100 Series" at WATERS takeshiba.

　In collaboration with SoVeC Corporation, Sony Corporation's highly accurate VPS*¹ technology is utilized on a web-based platform to achieve high-precision location recognition without the need for a dedicated app. This provides a new XR experience that allows immediate participation from a browser without requiring a dedicated app download. Through the immersive experience unique to XR, the aim is to create new tourism value that allows people to feel the history and charm of the town more deeply.
