Our company's main advantage has been our ability to produce large diamond single crystals, and we have been selling seed crystals, substrates, and optical components for lab-grown diamond (synthetic diamond, hereinafter referred to as "lab-grown diamond") manufacturing. Since our establishment, we have continuously focused on the development of large crystals, and we are now launching single crystal seed crystals that surpass the size of conventional products.
1. Introduction
Our company has been supplying seed crystals, which are raw materials for manufacturing by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, as products even before lab-grown diamonds fully entered the market. In particular, 7x7mm to 10x10mm seed crystals, suitable for producing brilliant-cut gemstones of 1 carat or more, have been shipped in large quantities to lab-grown diamond manufacturing companies in India and other countries as a global standard seed crystal.
Our company has established mass production technology for large diamond single crystals, and the high quality of our seed crystals is widely known in the industry and used by many companies. As lab-grown diamonds have become larger, in November 2023, we launched 15x15mm seed crystals that can produce brilliant-cut gemstones of 10 carats.
Subsequently, a technology emerged to cut multiple gemstones of different shapes from a rough diamond using a computer, further advancing the trend towards larger sizes and significantly changing the method of gemstone manufacturing. This made it possible to cut multiple types of gemstones from large rough diamonds, greatly improving production efficiency. As a result, we received requests from various lab-grown diamond manufacturing companies for the release of larger seed crystals.
Our company has continuously focused on the development of large single crystals since its establishment, and in February 2025, we launched 30x30mm single crystals as substrates and wafers. To meet the above requests, we have decided to launch large seed crystals that exceed the size of existing product shapes.
2. Details of the Newly Launched Products
(1) Large Seed Crystals for Lab-Grown Diamond Manufacturing [Photo]
Seed crystals ranging from 16x16mm to 20x20mm.
Including 20x20x0.3mm (SH20203), 18x18x0.3mm (SH18183), etc.
(2) Product Characteristics
The crystal quality is the same as or better than our conventional single crystal seed crystals that have been well-received.
Face orientation: (100) face with an off-angle of about 3°.
Side orientation: Usually (100), (110) has shape limitations.
Nitrogen content: 8ppm or less.
Shape specifications: Specified in 1mm increments within the applicable size range. Shape error is -0, +0.2mm.
Thickness specifications: 0.3mm. Thickness accuracy is -0, +0.07mm.
(3) New Product Launch Date
May 25, 2026
3. Product Features and Applications
Compared to using previously sold seed crystals, it will be possible to produce larger gemstones, but this depends on the rough diamond manufacturing equipment. With 15x15mm seed crystals, 10 carats was the maximum for brilliant cuts, but now even larger sizes can be manufactured. In addition, multiple types of cut shapes can be cut in large numbers, improving the efficiency of gemstone production from manufactured rough diamonds.
The crystal quality of the seed crystals is equal to or better than our highly acclaimed conventional products. Initial shipments will be limited to less than 100 units/month, but we plan to secure production capacity to ship 500 units/month within this year, and we intend to carry out even larger-scale mass production depending on order status.
