Cybozu Inc.'s "Social Design Lab (hereinafter, Sodelabo)" has begun offering free kintone applications for use in employment support facilities, as a concrete initiative stemming from the "Survey on IT Talent Shortage and Employment of People with Disabilities" published in January 2026.
Employment support facilities face numerous administrative tasks, including managing user and staff rosters, individual support statuses for each user, individual support plans, wage and working hour management, and records with consultation support staff. Management methods vary, from facilities using paper or Excel to those that have already introduced some form of tool.
By using kintone, information can be centralized, and the linkage of various information can be promoted. Utilizing the apps makes it easier to grasp the characteristics and situations of users, streamlines internal operations, and makes daily management smoother.

By leveraging IT tools, we aim to reduce the administrative burden on staff, enrich the time spent directly with users, and reduce overtime hours.
For those who feel that "introducing IT tools seems difficult," rest assured. Members of Sodelabo, who have been involved in IT support for employment support sites for many years, will provide accompanying support from introduction to operation (limited to the first 10 facilities).
Why not start with just one app, from where it suits your facility best?

**Background**
For people with disabilities or those facing difficulties in working, employment options are still limited. According to data from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the achievement rate of the statutory employment rate for people with disabilities in private companies remains at about half, and the employment rate for people with disabilities has remained flat at 40-60% for over 10 years.
On the other hand, signs of change are emerging on the corporate side. In a survey we conducted last year, while 74.0% reported a shortage of IT/digital talent, a positive 71.4% responded that they "would consider hiring people with disabilities with IT skills." A movement to re-evaluate people with disabilities as talent responsible for corporate growth is spreading. Sodelabo continues to conduct empirical experiments to broaden employment options for people with disabilities and those facing difficulties in working, by enabling them to acquire IT skills.
In the field of employment support, the administrative burden on staff is significant, leading to the challenge of not being able to allocate sufficient time for face-to-face support with users. To enable users to acquire high-value skills, including IT skills, it is essential to first reduce the administrative burden on staff. This led to the current provision of various apps to support the efficiency of facility operations.
**Employment Support Facility Easy Pack**
Each necessary task for employment support facilities has been made into an app.
In fact, these apps themselves were created by a user of a Type B employment continuity support facility. What we have conveyed—that "acquiring IT skills broadens employment options"—is now taking concrete form. A person who receives support is now creating tools that support the support site—these apps embody such a possibility.
