The movie 'POWER TO THE PEOPLE: JOHN & YOKO LIVE IN NYC'

John Lennon's only full concert after the Beatles' breakup, the "One to One Concert," is brought back to the screen with the best visuals and sound in the movie 'POWER TO THE PEOPLE: JOHN & YOKO LIVE IN NYC.'

Kenji Mizuhara, the second-generation director in charge of The Beatles and also responsible for John Lennon's 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band' and 'Imagine,' has provided a recommendation comment!

"It can be called a monumental work. That era, when they were active, comes back to life. Although it was a politically somewhat aggressive period, John was always cool and stylish. His wildness and instinct are conveyed in every gesture.

Yoko, rather than being seen as a musician, was the mastermind behind the stage as a performance artist, and I want to cheer for her excellent poetic and conceptual direction. The perfectly matched duo, the powerful and passionate performance of Elephant's Memory, and their all-out stage are revived on multi-screens. The overwhelming rock 'n' roll show woven by visuals and sound. The audience stood up for 'Come Together' and 'Hound Dog,' and 'Imagine' and 'Mother' became timeless messages."

The "One to One Concert," held on August 30, 1972, at NY Madison Square Garden as a charity for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Willowbrook, sold out two performances (day and night), mobilizing a total of 40,000 people. As a result, it became the only full concert performed by John and Yoko, and it is still talked about as a legend today.

For this worldwide event screening, Sean Ono Lennon's elite team, a 7-time Grammy Award winner, spent 20 years meticulously restoring the footage frame by frame. The audio sources were similarly thoroughly repaired and remastered to the highest quality sound: 192kHz/24bit high-resolution stereo, 5.1ch surround, and Dolby Atmos in some theaters, to be screened with immersive multi-screen visuals and exquisite sound.

John, embodying rock 'n' roll with an overwhelming presence, and Yoko, shouting, this precious and only remaining performance footage is a must-see for John, Beatles, and all music fans.

Please note that most Dolby Atmos screenings nationwide will be limited to Thursday, May 7. Don't miss it. 5.1ch surround screenings are also for a limited time.
