Cyber Security Research Institute, Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuoka) announces a business partnership with Celio, Inc. (Headquarters: Kanagawa; hereinafter 'Celio'), a company with strengths in the implementation and design of ID security solutions, including Okta.
In recent years, cyberattacks originating from the theft of authentication credentials have been increasing, making it difficult to respond using conventional endpoint-centric measures. Through this partnership, we aim to advance the integration of our AI-driven security operations support service, 'FastTriage MDR,' with Okta, realizing automated responses based on analysis that spans ID-related logs, devices, and networks.
Background: The Main Battlefield of Compromise Shifts to 'ID' In recent cyberattacks, there is an increasing trend of techniques that involve stealing authentication credentials after an initial endpoint compromise, followed by privilege escalation to move laterally within an organization. Various studies have pointed out that many compromises originate from the abuse of authentication credentials, highlighting the growing importance of ID security.
Furthermore, with the introduction of supply chain security assessment systems, companies are facing challenges such as a shortage of specialized personnel and increased operational burdens while being required to audit authentication/access logs and maintain operational structures.
Value Proposition: Automating Responses Across ID, Devices, and Networks FastTriage MDR is a security operations support service that, in addition to detection and analysis, uses AI to assist in response decision-making and aims to automate execution.
Through Okta integration, we aim to enhance responses in the following ways: - Correlation analysis of ID-related logs, endpoint behavior, and network communication - Early detection and response support for privilege escalation processes in ransomware attacks - Automation of session control and device response against suspicious logins
This will streamline processes that previously required time from alert confirmation to response decision, and reduce operational burdens.
Partnership Details: Collaborative Provision from Design to Operation Through this partnership, the two companies will collaborate with the following roles: - Cyber Security Research Institute: Provision of AI-driven operational support and automation infrastructure - Celio: Design, construction, and operational support for authentication infrastructure centered on Okta
Additionally, we will proceed with joint proposals and expansion to mutual customers, targeting the following markets: - Companies that have already implemented or are considering implementing Okta - Mid-sized to enterprise-level companies with 100 to 1,000 employees
Moving forward, we aim to create joint implementation projects within 2026 and promote the provision of integrated solutions in the ID security domain.
Implementation Track Record Celio's Track Record: Experience in implementing and supporting ID security solutions, including Okta, spans 200 projects and 300,000 accounts. They have contributed to the consulting, implementation, and operation of complex systems, primarily for large enterprises.
Cyber Security Research Institute's Track Record: FastTriage MDR has been implemented in over 400 companies to date, primarily focusing on EDR product SOCs, providing operational support. It maintains a retention rate of over 95%, contributing to the efficiency of corporate security operations.
Representative Comments Celio, Inc. Representative Director Masahiro Asai: 'Okta implementation requires sophisticated design and operation. Through this partnership, I believe we can provide a realistic and sustainable security foundation to more companies, not just large enterprises.'
Cyber Security Research Institute, Inc. Representative Director Kei Yamaguchi: 'As the main battlefield of cyberattacks shifts to ID, the disconnect between authentication infrastructure and operations has become a challenge. Through this partnership, we will coordinate from design to operation, aiming to realize more practical security operations.'
