Today, Crunchyroll announced the winners of the 10th 'Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026'. The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is an annual awards program that honors the creators, musicians, and casts who enthral anime fans worldwide. The ceremony for the memorable 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards featured a diverse lineup of international celebrities representing anime fans, along with gorgeous guests from Japan. Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira hosted the ceremony for the fourth consecutive year, and the event was live-streamed domestically and internationally.

The prestigious 'Anime of the Year' was presented to 'My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON' by global icon and longtime anime fan, The Weeknd, on behalf of anime fans around the world.

The anime-loving international celebrities and domestic guests who appeared at the ceremony as presenters are as follows:

Asuka Saito: An actor loved for her generation-defining influence.

BamBam: K-POP artist.

Enako: Globally recognized cosplayer.

Kasumi Arimura: Multi-award-winning actor.

Mitorizu: Comedy duo popular for their sharp humor.

The pre-show, live-streamed from the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa in Tokyo, was hosted by Crunchyroll personalities Lauren Moore and Tim Lyu, along with popular YouTube creator Gigguk. The following celebrities and influencers appeared in the pre-show:

Fitting for the 10th anniversary ceremony, the awards opened with a sophisticated video honoring past Anime of the Year winners, accompanied by a performance by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, arranged by Kazunori Miyake and conducted by Hirofumi Kurita. When the 2017 winner 'Yuri!!! on ICE' was introduced, DEAN FUJIOKA graced the moment by singing its opening theme, 'History Maker'.

Furthermore, a tribute was paid to anime that has influenced pop culture across eras through soul-stirring musical performances. First, Yoko Takahashi passionately sang 'A Cruel Angel's Thesis' to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the TV broadcast of 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' (1995). Porno Graffitti delivered a performance celebrating the 10th anniversary and series finale of the TV anime 'My Hero Academia', and ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION played 'Haruka Kanata', the opening theme of 'NARUTO' and a beloved hit song.

In addition, the 'Global Impact Award' was presented to the late director Tatsuya Nagamine at the ceremony.
