"Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026" Nominees Announced

• Nominees for "Anime of the Year" include "Dandadan Part 2," "Gachiakuta," "My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON," "Tako-pyon the Sin," "The Apothecary Diaries (Season 2)," and "Hikari ga Shinda Natsu."

• Nominees for "Film of the Year" include "Hyakuemu.", "Theatrical Version 'Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc'," "Theatrical Feature 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' Infinite Train Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Appears Again," "Theatrical Version Mononoke: Chapter 2 Nezumi," "Endless Scarlet," and "The Rose of Versailles."

• Kasumi Arimura, Enako, Asuka Saito, Nanase Nishino, and Mitolize to appear as guests at the awards ceremony!

• The awards ceremony and preshow on May 23rd will be live-streamed globally from Tokyo.

Crunchyroll has announced the nominees for the commemorative 10th "Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026." Voting is now open via the awards' official website, with fans in Japan able to vote once per day until 3:59 PM JST on April 16th. We invite you to join the world's largest anime celebration, honoring Japanese animation, and support your favorite works and cast alongside anime fans globally!

In addition to the awards' official website, voting can also be done through Crunchyroll (Note). Furthermore, for the first time, voting is now possible through MyAnimeList, the world's largest community and database for Japanese anime and manga, making voting more accessible than ever.

Crunchyroll also announced the international and domestic guests who will serve as presenters at the awards ceremony and preshow, held in Tokyo starting at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 23rd, with the preshow beginning at 5:00 PM.

Guests Scheduled to Appear at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026

• Kasumi Arimura: An actor with numerous awards, known for her profound emotional expression and acting skills.

• Enako: A globally renowned cosplayer, known for bringing characters to life.

• Asuka Saito: An actor beloved for her overwhelming presence and her role as a symbol for her generation.

• Nanase Nishino: A highly acclaimed and skilled actor, cherished for her heartfelt performances.

• Mitolize: A popular comedy duo known for their sharp humor and exceptional chemistry.

• DANNA: A Mexican international singer-songwriter and actress.

• hannah bahng: A singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist from Australia.

• Nyvi Estephan: Brazil's leading esports and gaming host.

• RZA: A visionary producer, film director, and founder of the Wu-Tang Clan.

• Rashmika Mandanna: A star drawing attention across India, referred to as "India's Sweetheart."

• Snitchery: A creative leader known for generating viral moments through cosplay.

• Winston Duke: A globally acclaimed actor, producer, and cultural visionary.

This year's Crunchyroll Anime Awards will feature several anime music tributes. To start, DEAN FUJIOKA will open the ceremony with "History Maker," the opening theme for "Yuri!!! on ICE," which won "Anime of the Year" at the 1st Crunchyroll Anime Awards (2017). Additionally, performances are scheduled from Pornograffitti for the 10th anniversary and conclusion commemoration of the TV anime "My Hero Academia," and from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION for "Haruka Kanata," the opening theme of the TV anime "NARUTO-Shippuden." Furthermore, as announced in January, Yoko Takahashi will perform a 30th-anniversary tribute for "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will add splendor to the ceremony with their performance.

At the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026 ceremony, Hiroki Tōjō, Representative Executive Officer, President, and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, is scheduled to give the opening address. As in the past three years, Salli Amagi and John Kabira will serve as hosts.
