Feature on Tax Accountant Koji Sakamoto, Chairman of TKC National Association; Accountant's Magazine Vol. 82 Published

The cover interview in this issue features Koji Sakamoto, Chairman of Sakamoto & Partners Tax Corporation, and Chairman of the TKC National Association and the TKC National Political and Economic Research Association.

Mr. Sakamoto, full of independence, aspired to become a tax accountant in his second year of high school. He passed the entrance exam for Kobe University on his first try and passed the tax accountant examination in 1978 at the youngest age at the time. At the age of 25, he opened his own accounting office in his hometown of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Although he struggled at first, he increased his client base, promoted organization and systemization, and achieved steady office management, dedicating himself to supporting the management of sole proprietors and small and medium-sized enterprises for 45 years.

Furthermore, Mr. Sakamoto has made significant contributions as a researcher of accounting theory and has been active for a long time in the TKC National Association, one of Japan's largest professional accounting organizations. He has served as Chairman of the TKC National Association/TKC National Political and Economic Research Association for 10 years. Since 2026, he has continued his energetic activities as a member of the subcommittee of the "Japan Growth Strategy Council" of the Koichi Cabinet. Everything is "for the support of small and medium-sized enterprises" and "to improve the tax accountant industry." The underlying energy is the grand vision of "enhancing the social value of tax accountants."
