C&R Creative Studios, Japan's largest creative development studio operated by CREEK & RIVER Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'C&R'), will host a networking event titled 'Artists Meet Technicals 2026 supported by TA Night' on Friday, July 24, 2026. The event is held under the sponsorship of SideFX, the developer and provider of the 3D animation software 'Houdini', and aims to promote information sharing and community building among Technical Artists (TAs). 'Artists Meet Technicals' is a networking event centered on the theme of bridging art and technical disciplines. Traditionally held on the final day of CEDEC*, Japan's largest conference for game developers, this year's event will again take place on Friday, July 24, 2026—the concluding day of CEDEC2026. The venue is 'World BEER Museum Yokohama,' located on the B2F level of Dockyard Garden in Landmark Plaza, Minatomirai. During the event, participants will review CEDEC sessions together and engage in active information exchange. While Technical Artists are gaining increasing attention in the gaming industry, the role is still relatively new, and opportunities for knowledge sharing remain limited. This event welcomes not only TAs from the entertainment industry, particularly in gaming, but also students aspiring to become TAs.
