[For Beginners] Learn the Basics of Illustrator and Create Assets for Social Media! Free Seminar '2026 Edition! Illustrator Basics Course from Asset Creation Vol.2' Starts June 4

Creek & River Co., Ltd. (C&R) will hold a free online course for Adobe Illustrator beginners, titled "2026 Edition! Illustrator Basics Course from Asset Creation Vol.2 - Let's Create Icons & Design Assets for Social Media," spanning four days (8 hours in total) starting Thursday, June 4.

"Adobe Illustrator" is software used for drawing charts and pictures. It is widely used for various purposes, including creating logos, icons, illustrations, posters, and web design. This course aims to help participants learn to create simple flyers using Illustrator, which can also be utilized in website design.

In this second iteration of the course, participants will thoroughly learn the basic operations of Illustrator in the first half, and take on the challenge of creating icons and eye-catching images for social media in the second half. In the first six modules, participants will firmly learn basic functions such as the Pen Tool, Pathfinder, Warp, and Repeat. In the remaining two modules, they will finalize "fun to make!" design assets for social media. This course is highly recommended for those touching Illustrator for the first time, those who want to thoroughly learn the basics, and those who want to challenge themselves to create images for social media. - The instructor will teach using the latest version of Illustrator CC on Windows, but participation on a Mac environment is also possible.

- Please view the learning content for Illustrator and Photoshop distributed in advance, set up your environment, and then participate. The content is scheduled to be distributed about a week before the start of the lecture to those who have applied.

(1) Draw straight lines, curves, and corners using the Pen Tool
(2) Create illustrations by tracing photos with the Pen Tool

Day 2: Thursday, June 11
(3) Create pictograms combining shapes using the Pathfinder function
(4) Create logos by deforming text using the Warp function

Day 3: Thursday, June 18
(5) Create patterns using the Repeat function
(6) How to import assets created in Illustrator into Photoshop and utilize them

Day 4: Thursday, June 25
(7) Let's create social media icons
(8) Let's create eye-catching images for social media

After graduating from the CG Department of Nippon Engineering College in 2008, she worked at a CG production company in the television industry before starting her career as a freelance creator in 2013, producing flyers, novelty items, and editing videos. For Fuji TV's "Mr. Sunday," she was in charge of production tasks such as studio flips, in-monitor information screens, and incoming titles.
