Creek & River Co., Ltd. (C&R) will hold a free online seminar on Thursday, April 23, for creators active in the web industry and others, titled "The Essence of UI That AI Can't Understand ~The Crucial Perspective Only Humans Have~". While the seminar will be conducted entirely in English, it is also possible to listen in Japanese through simultaneous interpretation.

In the design industry, where AI has begun to replace and supplement many tasks, UI design is no exception. However, AI cannot understand the essence of UI. The 'perspective to understand the essence of UI,' which only humans possess, is the most crucial element for successful design. Entrusting UI to AI without understanding this carries a significant risk of losing both time and money. Therefore, C&R will hold a seminar to explain the human-only judgment criteria and perspectives necessary for conducting a "successful UI redesign" while utilizing AI.

Mr. Jacob Nelson
Graduated from the University of Washington with a Master's degree, majoring in Information Management. He has since held multiple leadership positions in global and local companies, including Head of Design R&D, Head of UX & PX Strategy, and Head of Digital Marketing & Brand. He has also served as a design mentor at Staffordshire University and the University of Washington. Throughout his career, he has worked on countless website, app, and mobile game projects, and his mobile games have been featured in Google Play and the App Store's "Featured Games" and "Top Charts." He also received the "Best Marketing Team" award at the 2018 Global Career Awards. His recent publications include an educational series on PX & UX design and a co-authored paper, "Affective Computing for Mental Health" (Game IoT for Healthcare).
