Crest Co., Ltd. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Toshikuni Hashimoto), which provides software development and projection mapping production services, will host the Izu Kogen "Digital Art Museum," offering a new painting appreciation experience. The event will be held free of charge for three days, from May 3rd to May 5th (10:30 AM - 5:00 PM), at Izu Kogen Station Yamamo Plaza, Unit 202, on the Izukyu Line.
This exhibition will utilize large-scale projections displayed on four walls, dynamically recreating landscapes from masterpieces by artists such as Van Gogh, Renoir, and Monet using AI technology. Visitors can enjoy an immersive experience, feeling as if they are stepping into the artworks from the painter's perspective.
This event will be held free of charge as part of the "Izu Kogen May Festival," an art festival held annually in Izu Kogen.
Furthermore, on May 4th, the Izu Kogen "Lantern Night & Day" event will also be held at the same venue (Izu Kogen Station Yamamo Plaza Patio). The lanterns used are LED-based, requiring no open flames, and are designed with safety in mind.
For the night-time display, unique IT technology will be employed, using equipment capable of controlling the LED colors and brightness of lanterns from the ground to the sky, creating an unprecedented fantastical spatial experience.
Lantern viewing is free. Lanterns can be purchased and taken home: 2,000 yen for daytime use and 3,000 yen for nighttime use.
