What is the TV Anime 'MF Ghost 3rd Season'?

'MF Ghost' is a near-future public road car racing battle manga by Shuichi Shigeno, serialized in 'Young Magazine' (Kodansha) from 2017 to February 2025. It is the successor to 'Initial D', which was also serialized in 'Young Magazine' until 2013.

Set in the future after 'Initial D', in the year 202X. In Japan, where autonomous driving has become widespread, public road car races are being held. The name of the race that has gained explosive popularity worldwide is 'MFG'.

The protagonist, Kanata Katagiri (Kanata Livington), who came to Japan from the UK to challenge the 'MFG', finished 9th in the 1st round at Odawara Pikes Peak and 4th in the 2nd round at Lake Ashinoko GT, steadily climbing the rankings. The stage then moves to the 3rd round at The Peninsula Manazuru.

Kanata, driving a turbocharged 86 with increased combat power, faces intensified top-level competition with the entry of the new star, Sena Moroboshi, the inheritor of Gunma Pride. However, the final race starts with him unable to use 2nd gear due to an elbow injury he suffered just before. As he is overtaken one after another by his rivals, the raw fighting spirit sleeping within him awakens!
