CRAZY BUMP Co., Ltd., which plans and operates special exhibitions themed around subcultures such as manga, anime, and tokusatsu, will release information on the "The Great Mothra POP UP STORE at Hands Shibuya," which will begin on July 7, 2026 (Tue) on the B2C floor of Hands Shibuya.

A Fierce Battle! A Threat! The Guardian Deity of the Southern Seas Flies to Shibuya!

Mothra, a representative kaiju not only of Japan but of the world, from Toho's kaiju films. Since its first appearance in 1961, it has been passionately supported by tokusatsu fans as an immortal masterpiece, mentioned alongside the "Godzilla" series. This work is not merely a kaiju film but possesses a deep message about environmental issues and human arrogance, while also being loved by people of all ages and genders due to its fantastical setting.

Mothra's character as a "guardian deity," different from previous kaiju portrayals, its unique form that grows from larva to cocoon to adult, and the presence of the "Shobijin" (fairies) who communicate with Mothra – its original character design has lost none of its brilliance even 65 years after its birth.

The year 2026, when this event is planned, marks the 65th anniversary of its birth and the 30th anniversary of the Heisei Mothra trilogy, "Mothra Leo." As part of this, we will hold a POP UP STORE that presents a completely new image of Mothra!

Related original merchandise will be sold at the venue. In addition to standard apparel items such as T-shirts and caps, popular acrylic stands and stationery will be available. The designs, inspired by Mothra's scales, truly evoke a sense of vibrant color.
