This work, which debuted as a TV series in 1983 with original concept and direction by Ryosuke Takahashi and production by Sunrise, celebrates its 43rd anniversary in 2026. Set at the end of the Hundred Years' War that divided the Astragius Galaxy, it tells the story of Chirico Cuvie, an "Invincible Survivor" with a one in 25 billion chance of existence, and was born as a TV anime in 1983. Humanoid weapons called Armored Troopers (ATs) were treated as disposable mass-produced machines, and unlike previous robot works, there was no protagonist mech. After the broadcast ended, it has been expanded into various media such as OVAs, novels, and manga.
