CRAVIA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroki Fujiwara; hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that, as part of its IP licensing business for the popular character "Hoppe-chan" owned by Memory-Tech Tsukuba Co., Ltd.'s Interactive Content Division (hereinafter "Sunhoseki"), it will begin rolling out products at 100-yen shops nationwide, including "Seria" and "Can★Do," through Eiko Co., Ltd.
This initiative is a core component of the Company's integrated IP x Retail x SNS strategy and is positioned as a significant milestone for future IP revenue growth.
1. Background of the Initiative
"Hoppe-chan" is a character that gained explosive popularity during the Heisei era, primarily among elementary and junior high school students, and continues to maintain a solid level of recognition and a dedicated fan base today.
To maximize the value of Sunhoseki, the Company is integrally promoting the following:
・Restructuring of IP licensing strategy
・Integrated management from product planning and manufacturing to distribution
・Cross-platform deployment across EC, physical stores, and live commerce
・Re-branding utilizing social media (SNS)
This rollout in 100-yen shops is a strategic measure to maximize contact opportunities at an "affordable price point for everyone" and to re-proliferate the IP.
As a result of these efforts, Hoppe-chan products will be sold sequentially at 100-yen shops nationwide, such as Seria and Can★Do, via Eiko Co., Ltd.
By offering products at an accessible price of 110 yen (tax included) each, the Company aims to reach a wide range of consumers from elementary/junior high students to Gen Z, acquiring new fans and dramatically increasing the value of the IP.
2. Significance of Nationwide Expansion (Mass Distribution x High Turnover Model)
Seria and Can★Do possess large-scale distribution networks with thousands of stores nationwide. This partnership is expected to:
・Instantly expand exposure at a national level
・Establish a high-turnover model through low unit prices
・Acquire new customers ranging from elementary/junior high students to Gen Z
・Re-engage the Heisei generation through "nostalgia consumption"
This initiative serves to simultaneously boost "recognition x distribution x turnover rate" in the IP business.
