NTT DATA-WITH and Coupa Sign Partnership Agreement

(Japan Branch: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichiro Sorimachi; hereinafter "Coupa") have signed a partnership agreement aimed at improving the productivity of procurement and purchasing departments and accelerating business transformation. The two companies will combine Coupa's cutting-edge autonomous spend management platform, which optimizes corporate spending with the power of AI, with NTT DATA-WITH's business reform support (IT/BPO) to provide comprehensive services that support everything from visualizing procurement and purchasing operations to ensuring their adoption.

In recent years, against the backdrop of rapid changes in the business environment surrounding companies and the increasing severity of labor shortages, procurement and purchasing departments are required not only to reduce costs but also to advance their overall business processes and contribute to management through data utilization.

However, the reality is that purchasing operations in many companies are often individualized and fragmented. Furthermore, many companies are currently struggling with the introduction of new AI technologies and securing the implementation and ROI associated with them, resulting in complex system integrations that become a burden on operations, further complicating the situation. Against this backdrop, simply implementing a system often does not yield sufficient results.

Through this partnership agreement, NTT DATA-WITH and Coupa will provide comprehensive support with the following features to companies engaged in procurement and purchasing business reforms:

Integrated Support from Implementation to ERP Integration

For Coupa implementation, we will support the implementation, including visualization of current operations and redesign of business processes. We will also ensure data consistency and accuracy by integrating with existing ERP systems (accounting, payment, core business operations). This will connect the entire business process from procurement to accounting and payment end-to-end from a system perspective.

Advancement of Purchasing Operations Centered on BPO

After system implementation and ERP integration, we will undertake a portion or all of the purchasing operations as BPO. By having NTT DATA-WITH manage the business operations, we will reduce the burden of daily purchasing operations, stabilize processing quality, and strengthen internal controls. This will support the creation of an environment where companies' procurement and purchasing departments are freed from routine tasks and can focus on higher value-added work.

Moving forward, both companies will jointly promote a service model that comprehensively supports everything from building business foundations by linking Coupa and ERP, with a focus on the procurement and purchasing domain, to operational adoption through BPO.
