Gucci Beauty's "The Alchemist's Garden" is an innovative luxury fragrance collection born from the fusion of alchemy and modern perfumery. Alchemy, a discipline and practical art exploring material transformation, flourished in Renaissance Italy, with Florence, the birthplace of the Gucci brand, at its heart. The perfumers behind this collection draw inspiration from the alchemical stages of material transformation, repeatedly extracting and combining ingredients through the four processes of Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, to weave a new world of scent.

Now, two new Eau de Parfums—Gucci Ylang-Ylang Ambrato Eau de Parfum and Gucci Lignum Idealis Eau de Parfum—have been created. These fragrances represent the beauty of transformation inherent in rare ingredients, born from the intersection of ancient techniques and modern, superior perfumery. Gucci Ylang-Ylang Ambrato Eau de Parfum is a scent that layers bright ylang-ylang essence with the amber shadows of tonka bean absolute, achieved through the Earth process. Contrasting essences are fused through a unique co-distillation. Gucci Lignum Idealis Eau de Parfum, inspired by traditional methods belonging to Fire, expresses the soul of the forest through scent. Using headspace technology, the aroma surrounding giant sequoia trees is captured without harming the wood and then reconstructed by the perfumer, resulting in a woody essence that deeply invites the senses into the forest.

All fragrances in "The Alchemist's Garden" collection are housed in iconic bottles, each adorned with a unique color reflecting the process of transformation.

- Earth: Scents that incorporate materials obtained from the earth, such as resins, wood, and dry leaves, in their natural form, extracting their strength through calcination, maceration, and extraction. Depicted on black bottles with animals and powerful symbols. - Air: Scents refined by supercritical fluid extraction, bringing out the airy lightness of the materials. These light, uplifting fragrances are symbolized by white bottles and creatures soaring through the sky. - Water: Materials transformed by the power of water using ancient distillation techniques. These multifaceted fragrances capture the fleeting beauty of flowers, with bottles adorned with mysterious symbols inspired by Gucci's magical garden. - Fire: Gucci's perfumers create bold fragrances using innovative techniques. Gucci Ylang-Ylang Ambrato Eau de Parfum is a fusion of creamy ylang-ylang heart essence, one of the most precious extracts from flowers, and gourmand tonka bean absolute. Through a gentle maceration process, the two essences dissolve into one, bringing an amber depth to the sunny radiance of ylang-ylang. The addition of a tobacco accord spreads a spicy elegance, beautifully harmonizing warmth and woody strength. Furthermore, cistus absolute adds sweet, woody, and ambergris-like nuances. Perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault created this amber floral scent through the Earth process. The black glass bottle features a chameleon, a symbol of transformation, evoking the lingering, captivating scent as it blends into the shadows.
