Credit Saison Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President Executive Officer COO: Katsumi Mizuno; hereinafter: Credit Saison) and BuySell Technologies Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Kosuke Tokushige; hereinafter: BuySell) have signed a basic agreement for comprehensive collaboration (hereinafter: the Collaboration).
The Collaboration aims to build a new ecosystem in which personal belongings are not left dormant as 'hidden assets' but are instead made visible and converted into financial assets, enabling them to be effectively utilized as one of life's valuable resources — with both companies working together to create new businesses.

■Background of the Collaboration
In recent years, rising prices, surging gold prices, and growing demand for asset consolidation ahead of inheritance have heightened interest in the value of personal belongings and their optimal utilization. The idea of putting dormant items such as luxury goods and precious metals to work as assets — rather than leaving them unused — is gaining wider traction.
Credit Saison is an independent non-bank financial company founded in 1951 as a retail enterprise. Operating under the corporate philosophy of being a 'cutting-edge service company,' it has developed a wide range of services by leveraging the strengths of its independence and the 'DNA of challenge and transformation' present since its founding. The company also works to create new customer experiences by utilizing digital technologies, including know-how cultivated through its payment business and in-house system development as part of its digital transformation strategy.
BuySell, meanwhile, has been operating a reuse business — buying and selling second-hand goods — since 2015. Centered on its home-visit and in-store purchasing services, the company finds value in unwanted items lying dormant across Japan, including kimonos, stamps, and luxury goods, and connects them with people who need them. The company positions technology as a key strategic driver in its reuse business and is one of the fastest-growing players in the reuse industry, thanks to operational efficiency improvements and data utilization through its proprietary products.
Through this Collaboration, both companies aim to look beyond financial assets and focus on individuals' physical assets as well, creating a new economic cycle and added value rooted in each customer's total asset portfolio.
■Overview of the Collaboration
Under this Collaboration, the following initiatives will be explored and promoted:
・Provision and expansion of purchasing services for Saison Card and UC Card members
・Creation of financial and non-financial businesses that combine financial and physical assets
As the first initiative under this Collaboration, starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, a home-visit purchasing service called 'Saison Kaitori by BuySell' (hereinafter: the Service) will be launched for Saison Card and UC Card members issued by Credit Saison.
■About 'Saison Kaitori by BuySell'
The Service provides BuySell's home-visit purchasing service to Saison Card and UC Card members (approximately 23 million members). Upon application, a BuySell appraiser will visit the customer's home to assess and purchase eligible items.
