Dohatsuten x Don Decorte's Long-Awaited First Co-Performance! 'ROCK or LIVE! -Rock Comedy Club- Vol.10' Announced!

It has been decided that 'ROCK or LIVE! -Rock Comedy Club- Vol.10' will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at GORILLA HALL OSAKA in Osaka. Dohatsuten was formed in Sapporo in 1984. Around 1988, they began full-scale activities with their current members Naosumi Masuko (Vo), Tomoyasu Ueharako (g), and Katsuhiko Sakazume (ds). After a temporary hiatus in 1996, they resumed activities in 1999 under the banner of JAPANESE R&E (Rhythm & Enka). This year marks their 42nd anniversary as a rock band. In December 2025, they will release a new recording of "Otona no Susume" titled "Otona no Susume ~Kanreki Joto!~". On April 22 this year, they released a new song "Tokai Te". Furthermore, as all members will reach their 60th birthday this year, they are holding 60 performances titled "Kanreki Joto! Shogai Geneki Stamina Kaido". The first day was just held on April 23, Masuko's birthday, at Tokyo Kinema Club in Tokyo. In December 2025, they achieved second place in the "M-1 Grand Prix 2025" and suddenly gained attention. Distribution tickets for their solo live performance "Kobiritsuku" held on January 24 this year at Shibuya Yoshimoto Manzai Theater in Tokyo sold over 12,000 copies. In March, Watanabe achieved a tie for second place in the "R-1 Grand Prix 2026", continuing their rapid success and attracting attention. Then, in April this year, a WEBCM for a fast-food chain featuring Watanabe powerfully singing Dohatsuten's "Otona no Susume" was released and immediately received a huge response. On X, an exchange between Masuko and Watanabe took place: "Ginji Watanabe-san, thank you for the amazing song. I hope we can sing together someday," and "Oh my goodness. I'm honored." Calls for a co-performance by the two groups followed one after another. Finally, in September, that co-performance will come to fruition!
