Inbound tourist navigation app "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" adds "Shopping Log" feature.

NAVITIME JAPAN Co., Ltd. will add a "Shopping Log" feature to its navigation app for inbound tourists, "Japan Travel by NAVITIME," starting May 14, 2026. The new function allows users to easily keep track of their purchases by simply taking a photo of their receipts. It automatically reads the date, store name, item name, and total amount, visualizing the shopping history with pie and bar charts. Supporting 13 languages, it also automatically tags purchases with location data and seven categories, enabling travelers to effectively track total expenses across multiple payment methods in Japanese Yen.
