Minna no Ginko Launches 'Bill Payment Program' Offering Up to 100 Yen Monthly Cashback

Minna no Ginko will launch a new 'Bill Payment Program' starting May 15, 2026. This program allows users to easily pay utility bills and taxes by scanning barcodes or local tax unified QR codes (eL-QR) on paper bills using the Minna no Ginko app, eliminating the need to visit a convenience store. Users will receive a 10 yen cashback for each bill paid, up to a maximum of 100 yen per month. The cashback will be credited to the user's savings account by the end of the following month. This is the first program in Japan to offer continuous cashback for app-based bill payments.
