Sharp has refreshed its healthcare app 'Karada Mate' and will begin providing it from July 9 this year. The app centrally manages daily health-related data and dietary information, contributing to personalized health maintenance through scoring and advice reviewed by registered dietitians.

By connecting with Sharp's smartwatch 'Karada Mate Watch' and smart ring 'Karada Mate Ring', the app can centrally manage vital data measured by each device—including skin temperature and blood oxygen levels—along with activity metrics such as step count, sleep duration, and calorie intake (※1). It also analyzes entered meal information, scores data across four categories—'Diet,' 'Sleep,' 'Exercise,' and 'Well-being'—and displays changes in sleep depth and stress levels in graphs, helping users identify aspects of their daily health and lifestyle that may need improvement.

The paid 'Karada Mate Plus Plan' offers courses such as 'Condition Care' and 'Diet,' providing goal-specific score evaluations and advice reviewed by registered dietitians. This enables users to confirm key points for achieving their health goals.

Daily meal logging is also simple and convenient. In addition to text search, Sharp's proprietary AI image processing technology matches meals photographed with a smartphone against a database of approximately 150,000 dishes for instant recognition and registration. Based on meal content, the app analyzes nutrient intake—such as protein, fat, and carbohydrates—against daily nutritional intake standards (※2), and recommends over 400 menu options beneficial for health management.
