Sharp will release the Plasmacluster Owl Flow Handy Fan , which balances a large air volume with a gentle operating sound by applying the airflow structure of our circulators and the wing shape of an owl.
In recent years, as periods of high temperatures prolong, handy fans have become increasingly popular as an item to counter the heat. The scenes of use have expanded not only to being outdoors but also indoors, such as in offices and homes, placing importance on functionality for comfortable use.
This unit applies the airflow structure of our circulators to achieve a straight and strong breeze. By making the head portion a deep cylindrical structure, it increases the wind speed, and a spiral grill (fan guard) sends out a straight-traveling wind. In addition, it employs "Nature Technology" inspired by the wing shape of the owl, known for its silent flight. By adding a bulge to the cross-section of the fan to efficiently catch the air, and adding fine unevenness called serrations to the grill, wind noise is suppressed. Despite its compact size, it achieves both a large air volume and a gentle operating sound.
Furthermore, it is designed to be used safely even in summer's high-temperature environments (up to 40°C). The battery uses a lithium-ion battery with a maximum operating temperature of 60°C (*1), and its surroundings are covered with high-strength, flame-retardant aluminum material and flame-retardant resin. When disposing of it, the battery can be removed, making it considerate for recycling collection.
Moreover, it is equipped with our proprietary "Plasmacluster" technology to deodorize sweat odors and middle-aged fat odors adhering to clothes (*2, *3). It can also be utilized as a countermeasure against bothersome summer odors at your desk.
