Timee Signs Basic Agreement for Business Alliance in Financial Domain with NTT DOCOMO and SBI Sumishin Net Bank

Timee, Inc. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryo Ogawa), which provides the gig work service "Timee," has signed a basic agreement for business collaboration (hereinafter referred to as "this collaboration") centered on the financial domain with NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yoshiteru Maeda, hereinafter referred to as "NTT DOCOMO") and SBI Sumishin Net Bank, Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President (CEO): Noriaki Maruyama, hereinafter referred to as "SBI Sumishin Net Bank"). We will further accelerate discussions towards providing a financial platform that includes banking services. ◾️ Background Under the mission of "Creating infrastructure that expands life's possibilities through work," we have been providing the gig work service "Timee." Since its launch in 2018, we have aimed to realize a society where individuals can pursue work that suits them without constraints of time or location, and the service has grown to be used by over 14.2 million workers (as of the end of April 2026). On the other hand, through our spot work business, we have provided services such as instant salary payments, and in doing so, we have realized the high short-term financial needs of workers. We have also had many opportunities to learn about the challenges faced by workers, such as economic anxieties about the future, and the inability to take a step forward due to financial constraints despite their desire for skill development. We feel that there is still room for us to contribute not only to expanding work opportunities themselves but also to the daily convenience and future choices of such workers. With this in mind, we have decided to expand our business domain beyond our existing spot work business and consider providing a financial platform that includes banking services as a new business area. ◾️ Overview Our company, NTT DOCOMO, and SBI Sumishin Net Bank have signed a basic agreement for business collaboration in the financial domain. We will further accelerate discussions towards realizing banking services for Timee users and others, utilizing the BaaS solution provided by SBI Sumishin Net Bank. Furthermore, Timee will establish a subsidiary for the commercialization of financial solutions utilizing the "Timee" gig work service platform. This subsidiary will operate as the managing entity to consider the development and provision of financial services.
