Timee, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryo Ogawa), provider of the 'Timee' gap-time job service, has entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement with Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture (Mayor: Toshiki Mochizuki), the Yamanashi Mirai Agricultural Cooperative (Representative Director: Tamehito Hagiwara), and the Fujikawa Town Society of Commerce and Industry (Chairman: Yoshio Nakazawa).
Fujikawa Town is a destination that attracts approximately 630,000 tourists annually, thanks to its rich natural resources and tourism facilities, including 'Michi-no-Eki' (roadside stations) and the cherry blossom festival at Obo-shi Park, which is selected as one of the 'Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan.' The town is also actively working to become the 'No. 1 town for child-rearing' by providing economic support and fostering a nurturing environment.
However, the town faces challenges such as population decline, an aging society, and a shortage of labor across primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. The working-age population (15-64) continues to shrink, and the agricultural sector, known for specialties like yuzu and pears, is struggling with an aging workforce and a lack of successors.
Against this backdrop, the four parties will collaborate to support employment for child-rearing households by utilizing gap time, as well as to promote industrial revitalization and regional development. By leveraging Timee's expertise in spot work, the partnership aims to help local businesses secure talent while promoting diverse working styles for residents of all ages. Together, the parties aim to solve regional challenges in Fujikawa Town.
Initiatives include: - Supporting local businesses in the adoption and implementation of spot work. - Promoting diverse working styles for local residents.
This marks Timee's 83rd partnership agreement with a local government in Japan.
