StoryHub Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director CEO: Shota Tajima; hereinafter "the Company"), whose mission is to "become a hub for co-creating valuable stories," significantly renewed its all-in-one AI editing assistant "StoryHub Studio" (formerly "StoryHub") on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. This assistant aims to be a content production foundation for the AI agent era, with AI supporting the entire content creation process from material processing, editing, and review.

This renewal is the first phase of the "StoryHub Platform" concept announced on April 10, 2026. Through a total of six major updates, including a new data structure that manages materials and content independently, and a version control function that retains AI editing history, we are laying the foundation to support the core concept of "Brand Memory" within the platform.

Background of the Renewal

Expansion of Customer Base and Limitations of Initial Design

To date, the Company has provided its all-in-one AI editing assistant to over 150 companies, mainly media companies such as major publishers, newspapers, and TV stations.

With the expansion of our customer base, challenges arose where the initial design could not keep up with diversified use cases. Specifically, these included: ① difficulty in reusing the same materials (interview audio, photos, documents) across multiple contents, ② inability to compare AI edits before and after or revert to previous versions, and ③ an unoptimized user experience where the initial screen displayed dozens of recipe lists despite most users utilizing only a few recipes.

These issues could not be resolved by superficial UI improvements alone, requiring an overhaul of the data structure itself.

Establishing the Foundation for Implementing "Brand Memory"

Central to the "StoryHub Platform" concept announced on April 10, 2026, is the idea of "Brand Memory." This concept aims to monetize information accumulated within an organization—such as brand guidelines, past content, editing differences against AI output, and audience reactions—and function as an infrastructure for AI and humans to collaborate.

The conventional StoryHub Studio design, which "managed materials and articles linked to a single project folder," had limitations in accumulating materials and editing know-how across the organization. This renewal also aims to establish a data structure for implementing Brand Memory.

Laying the Groundwork for the AI Agent Era

Looking ahead, as parts of the content production UI are replaced by AI agents, it will be crucial for materials and editing history to be accumulated in a way that is easily handled by both humans and AI. The data structure established by this renewal will enable the coexistence of existing functions with future AI features that autonomously advance the production flow.

Six Key Points of the Renewal

① New Library Structure: Materials Become Assets

Previously, materials could only be managed per project folder, requiring re-uploading or cohabitation with unrelated files when reusing the same material for different content. Post-renewal, materials and content can be managed in independent libraries, allowing freely reusing uploaded materials across multiple contents.

In the future, we plan to implement a function where AI automatically tags and organizes materials placed in the library, and the AI itself selects appropriate materials when executing recipes.

② Version Control Function: Retaining AI Editing History

When content is updated by AI processing, such as re-executing recipes, brushing up (formerly custom editing), or fact-checking, a version is automatically saved. This allows users to revert to or compare with previous versions at any time, enabling confident utilization of AI functions. Manual version saving is also possible.

③ User-Friendly Home Screen for New Creation and Resuming Work

The home screen has been reconfigured into areas for "creating new content" and "resuming work on in-progress content." Recipes have been changed to a dropdown format allowing filtering by search, category, and bookmarks, ensuring that first-time users can navigate easily and experienced users can reach their desired actions in the shortest possible time.

④ Constant Display of Credit Balance in Sidebar

All team members, regardless of their role, can now constantly monitor their contract plan usage and next reset date. This prevents work interruptions due to inadvertently reaching limits and facilitates easy consumption control within the team.

⑤ Organized Recipe Categories that Convey Use Cases

The conventional tag system has been revamped, reorganizing recipe categories based on job roles/uses such as "Media & Editors," "Public Relations," "Marketing," and "HR & Recruitment."
