Spicemart Inc. has published its latest report on cross-platform expansion, based on a survey of PC and console release status among hit mobile game titles from January 2025 to April 2026. The report is currently being distributed to companies subscribed to LIVEOPSIS, and this release introduces part of its overview. Survey overview: Survey period: January 2025 to April 2026 Survey target: 174 mobile game titles that entered the top 200 App Store sales ranking during the survey period after release. Paid apps and titles that ranked only after three months from release were excluded. Survey content: PC and console rollout status, supported platforms, timing trends, and detailed case studies of representative titles and upcoming new releases. PC emulator versions were counted as cross-platform releases only when officially announced. Key findings: ・59.7% of hit mobile game titles have released PC versions. ・Cases of later platform additions such as Steam versions, as well as cross-platform launches for new titles, are increasing. Among the 174 mobile game titles surveyed, 104 titles, or 59.7% of the total, had released PC versions. Looking at the breakdown of these 104 PC releases, Google Play Games was the most common format with 64 titles, followed by Windows, Steam, and DMM versions. Steam releases significantly outnumbered Epic Games Store releases. Meanwhile, 10 titles had released or were scheduled to release console versions. Compared with the number of PC versions, console releases remained limited, indicating that cross-platform expansion between mobile and console games is still relatively restricted. Of those 10 titles, seven were released on mobile and console on the same day. Among the 2025 hit titles surveyed, multiple cases were observed in which additional platforms such as Steam or cloud versions were added after the initial launch on mobile or other platforms. For example, Wuthering Waves launched its mobile and PC versions in May 2024, then added a PlayStation 5 version in January 2025 and a Steam version in April of the same year. An Xbox version is scheduled for July 2026. Cross-platform expansion is also spreading among new titles. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was released first on PC, while the iOS and Android versions of Pokemon Champions are scheduled for summer 2026 after the Nintendo Switch version. Other examples include Zenless Zone Zero adding Xbox and cloud versions, and Crystal of Atlan adding a Steam version. The full report summarizes release timing and background details by title.
